For those of you let down by missing out on 36,000 free doughnuts from UberEats today… It might not be too late.

Rival food delivery company Deliveroo has decided to offer free doughnuts in person today, with no risk of the website crashing.

It comes after hundreds of people couldn’t even load UberEats due to the demand.

At least 1,000 doughnuts will be handed out at Cannon Street, Liverpool Street and Kings Cross stations in London at 6pm today, while stocks last.

They’ll be from Crosstown Doughnuts and Doughnut Time, with others possibly joining up too meaning even more doughnuts.

It comes after a deluge of people shared their grief at not getting any Krispy Kreme doughnuts from Ubereats, with many not even being able to load the app.

‘Krispy Kreme sold us a dream’, one user said.

This time, there’s a lot riding on Deliveroo to deliver the doughnuts where others failed.

The move was ‘very shady’, according to some customers – but good business sense, no?

On your marks, get set, doughnuts.
