Accused drugged-sex comedian Bill Cosby has a perverted Queens namesake, according to court documents.
This William Cosby, 67 — not the famed actor and funnyman awaiting retrial on accusations of sex assault — will remain a level-three sex offender, an appellate court ruled this week.
The lesser-known Cosby was convicted in Brooklyn on charges of first- and second-degree rape in 1994 for attacking a 10-year-old girl. He was designated a level 3 violent sex offender following his release from prison.
Cosby appealed the designation in 2012, but was shot down Wednesday and will remain a level – three offender, the second department ordered.
His 80-year-old celebrity counterpart is scheduled for retrial in April on three charges of indecent assault for allegedly molesting Temple University staffer Andrea Constand in 2004.
“America’s Dad” was first tried last June. A mistrial was declared after the jury deadlocked following nearly 60 hours of deliberation.
