  • The budget product has made its way back onto shelves after selling out twice
  • Aldi confirmed the French cheeses are here to stay permanently on shelves

Foodies are going wild over the re-launch of Aldi’s wildly popular Le Pave, with many comparing the $5.99 creamy cheese to D’Affinois that retails for three times the price.

D’Affinois retails for up to $18 in major supermarkets – a figure more than three times the $5.99 price of Aldi’s Le Pave.

‘We are proud of the award-winning cheese range on offer at Aldi, including our popular Le Pave cheese,’ an Aldi spokesperson previously told Angle News Australia.

‘Crafted from the heart of France, we have been stocking Le Pave cheese ($5.99/200g) at Aldi since April 2017.

‘Le Pave is produced within the Pays de la Loire region of France at one of the largest remaining dairy cooperatives in the country. To ensure its quality, the product is airfreighted to Australia on a weekly basis.’
