Original Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler has revealed the person who could make a ‘classic’ reunion of the band happen.
Speaking to the Hot Breakfast radio show, Adler was asked about reunion rumours.
“There’s no rumours. All I can do is say hello to Fernando. Hi Fernando, how are you? That’s Axl [Rose]’s manager. I’ve got to be impeccable with my words, that means without sin. I love you Fernando, I know you’re going to do the right thing,” he said.
“That’s the one guy that can make this happen. Everybody go on Fernando, Axl’s manager’s website, and bug the crap out of him until he finally gets it and puts the band back together. That’s FernandoAxlsManager.com,” he continued. Fernando is loving me right now, I’m going to get a text tomorrow: ‘What the hell is wrong with you?’ I love you Fernando, and congratulations on the baby.”
Fernando Lebeis returned to Twitter earlier today (May 15) after more than a year away. It’s not clear whether it’s anything to do with Adler’s comments. You can see his tweet below.
Guns N’ Roses are gearing up for the release of the deluxe reissue of their 1987 album ‘Appetite For Destruction’.
The forthcoming reissue has also seen a Guns N’ Roses song place on the charts for the first time in decades. ‘Shadow of Your Love’ debuted at No. 31 at Mainstream Rock.
The reissue will not be including the controversial track ‘One In A Million’ due to its controversial lyrics.
“Police and n****rs, that’s right / Get outta my way / Don’t need to buy none of your / Gold chains today,” the song exclaims. It also includes the lines “immigrants and fagots / They make no sense to me / They come to our country / And think they’ll do as they please / Like start some mini-Iran / Or spread some fucking disease”.
