Chvrches have delivered a powerful live airing of their latest single ‘Miracle’. Check out the performance below.
The Scottish synth-pop trio appeared on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon last night (May 15), promoting their upcoming third record ‘Love Is Dead‘.
Taking to the stage, the band gave a dramatic rendition of the new track as lashings of dry ice lapped up at their feet. The appearance – which saw Lauren Mayberry belt out some impressive distorted vocals – marks the first live performance of the tune.
‘Miracle’ follows previous releases ‘Get Out’, ‘My Enemy’, and ‘Never Say Die’. The track’s Warren Fu-directed video was released last month and sees Mayberry getting caught up in a riot.
According to the singer, Chvrches third studio record will centre around the band “coming to terms with the fact that there are great things in the world and there are awful things in the world and that you can’t get one without the other”.
To celebrate ‘Love Is Dead’ dropping, the group will play an intimate show at London’s House of Vans on the album’s release day (May 25).
Chvrches recently spoke to NME about their new record. During the chat, Mayberry praised the recent rise in people speaking out and protesting as a positive amid widespread political tension.
The band are set to appear at Citadel festival in July, supporting headliners Tame Impala. Following a tour of North America in August, they’ll perform at Pitchfork Festival Paris.
