Here's Why J.T. And Sean Weren't In Drake's "Degrassi" Reunion Video

Hello, it’s now been several hours since Drake dropped his “I’m Upset” video featuring most of the Degrassi: The Next Generation cast and I’ve yet to think of anything else today.

But ever since I wrote about the video this morning, I’ve seen so many people wondering where J.T. and Sean were for the big reunion!

Well, I have some funny news and some very sad news. My mom always told me bad news first, so I’m going to do that for you guys. RIPPING OFF THE BAND-AID!

Here’s the sad news: Daniel Clark, who played Sean on the show, went live on Instagram and explained that he had no idea that the video was happening and found out with the rest of us.

“I had no idea that this happened. Like, I woke up just as surprised as everyone else. I also heard about it for the first time, and was watching for the first time… I wish I had an answer for you guys. I don’t know.”

Me right now about Daniel Clark:

But, since I did promise you guys some funnier news too, I can’t get over this exchange that Drake had that possibly explains why J.T. (Ryan Cooley) wasn’t involved in the music video:

HE THOUGHT IT WAS A SCAM?????? And not a single one of his Degrassi pals was like, “Hey buddy, see you at the big Drake Degrassi reunion?” BRUTAL.

Anyway, here’s a recent pic of Ryan Cooley that you can just mentally photoshop into the video, I guess.

Well, I hope that cleared up the mystery a little bit! See you two at the next Drake reunion in 10 years, I hope!
