Wards at a north London hospital had to be evacuated after a fire on Sunday night.
Forty-five people were forced to flee and 14 of them had to be found alternative accommodation for the night due to the fire at Chase Farm Hospital in Enfield.
The fire broke out on the ground floor of the two-storey building just after 10.10pm.
Almost 60 firefighters were deployed and seven people were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The hospital trust said two of the group – its staff members – were taken to hospital.
By 12.40am on Monday the fire was under control, the London Fire Brigade said.
The patients who had to leave the building had been out before firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is not clear but is being investigated.
Enfield Southgate MP Bambos Charalambous said he was “shocked” to hear about the incident.
He wrote on Twitter: “I hope everyone is safe.
“I will be contacting @RoyalFreeNHS to find out what emergency steps are in place to tackle urgent health pressures as a result of the fire. Many thanks to our firefighters.”
