THIS is the terrifying moment burglars posing as cops attack a man as they raid his home.
The gang yelled “police” as they burst into the Barnet home in North London – threatening the victim with weapons as they ransacked the house.
Frightening footage released today shows one of the men putting on a high-vis police jacket before the group smash their way into the property.
As they threaten the man, another person arrived at the home on Elmgate Gardens in Edgware and was attacked.
In the chaos, one of the suspects sprayed an unknown substance into the second victim’s face.
He was then punched and kicked before he was taken upstairs and put with the other victims.
Phones and a wallet were nicked in the attack.
While the incident happened on August 10 last year, police have today released the footage in a renewed attempt to catch those responsible.
The suspects are described as black males who were wearing dark clothing.
The footage comes as police have continued to wage a war on knife crime in London.
A teen boy was yesterday left fighting for life after being stabbed outside a train station in the capital, while a 19-year-old was stabbed in the chest.
The knife crisis has seen 42 people stabbed to death across the country so far this year – including 12 in just two weeks.
No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
