Octopath Traveler will release for PC through Steam and the Square Enix store in June

Following a leak, Square Enix has now confirmed that Octopath Traveler is indeed coming to PC in June.

An announcement on the publisher’s official website outed the port’s existence last week, but it’s now been made official. Octopath Traveler will be available on PC through Steam on June 7.

Octopath Traveler only ever came out on Nintendo Switch. Octopath is a JRPG in the classic style, with distinct 2D art and an isometric perspective. It features eight playable characters, each with their own story and starting area.

Another game in the series is currently in the works for consoles, and a prequel titled Octopath Traveler: Conquerors of the Continent is in development for smartphones.

Octopath Traveler was originally released in July 2018 for Switch and shipped over 1.5 million copies.
