Police car rammed man shot by officers Greenvale Melbourne news


A man has been shot by police after a marked car was rammed in Melbourne’s north this morning.

The police vehicle was rammed on Providence Road in Greenvale about 5am.

It is understood police then opened fire on two men who were in the other vehicle, injuring one of them.

Both men were placed under arrest and the shot man was taken to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said a man aged in his 20s was taken to hospital in a serious condition with an injury to the upper body.


No police officers were injured during the incident.

A crime scene has been established at the location and police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and alleged ramming.
