Kelly Rowland and Delta Goodrem broke down in tears over cancer-survivor Natasha Stuart’s heartfelt performance on The Voice.

Natasha, 42, who recently completed 20 weeks of chemotherapy for breast cancer, gave a heart-wrenching rendition of REM’s Everybody Hurts in Tuesday’s knockouts episode.

After her performance, Kelly wiped away tears as she said: ‘What you brought today was just so human. You know what I mean?’

The former Destiny’s Child singer added shakily: ‘I think sometimes we forget we’re human. Sorry.’

Delta, who chose to save Natasha over fellow singers Emma Sophina and Kimberley Bowden, started crying as she discussed how Natasha could inspire other cancer sufferers.

The singer, who was treated for Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2003 when she was just 18, said: ‘Making a decision felt very difficult. Very difficult.’

Struggling to hold back the tears, she went on: ‘For me, the part that I get upset at is… the thought of somebody who’s in the fight and sees Tash and just thinks, “because of this, I’m taking a go at what I really love”.

‘That’s a great reminder to remembering the power of music is healing and, um, I felt their power in that performance.’

Natasha was diagnosed with cancer last year, when she was aged just 41, after finding a lump in her breast following a tour with legendary singer Michael Bolton.

During her audition, she told Boy George, with whom she has performed in the past:  ‘We did two gigs together. But you probably don’t recognise me, ’cause I’m minus very large curls all over my head because I’ve just finished 20 weeks of chemo.’

Overwhelmed: After her performance, Kelly wiped away tears as she said: 'What you brought today was just so human. You know what I mean? 'I think sometimes we forget we're human'

Explaining her cancer journey, she said: ‘I was just going about my business, singing, just gigging with my band and doing a few little bits and pieces of touring.

‘And then I was lying in bed literally the day after I got back from two months on the road. There was a lump and I was like, “That’s nothing.”

‘But I went to the doctor the next day just so that they could tell me that it was definitely nothing. But it wasn’t, it was breast cancer’.

The singer admits it has been hard losing her famous curls, saying on The Voice: ‘Losing the curls, after being the singer with the big curly hair then seeing all of that stripped away, that’s the hardest thing’.

Natasha, who has now been told she is cancer free, has toured as a backup singer with the likes of  Tina Arena, Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes and Richard Clapton, as well as three of the mentors, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and Boy George.

She picked Team Delta on Sunday night, and revealed she feels close to the singer, having toured with her in 2005, shortly after Delta treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Speaking to TV Week, she said: ‘I have such a deeper compassion for what she went through because I actually really understand it.’
